The Spring Grove Area Veterans Memorial, LLC

The Spring Grove Area Veterans Memorial Group, LLC is organized exclusively to  establish a memorial in Spring Grove Minnesota to honor the service of Spring Grove area veterans, both living and dead, who have honorably served our nation both in peace and in war.

 

Spring Grove, MN, has a long and proud history of defending our nation.  Hundreds of our citizens, dating from the Civil War to the present, have answered our nation’s to call to defend freedom.  Sixty Spring Grove Area Veterans lost their lives while in service to our country.  The Spring Grove Area Veterans Memorial Group was formed for the specific purpose of establishing such a memorial.

 

The Spring Grove Area Veterans Memorial, located in the Viking Memorial Park in the center of town, is a place for reflection and remembrance.  It serves as a dignified reminder to us all that Freedom Is Not Free.  It reminds us of the sacrifices made by our men and women to the cause of freedom and liberty.

 

The monument features the names of more than 1069 military veterans who have honorably served our country, men and women, living and dead, in peace and in war, from the Civil War to the present.  Those who gave the last full measure of devotion receive special recognition on a Gold Star stone.  The monument includes space for adding the names of future veterans.
